Coming up on Mosen at Large 201, should Aira look after its paying customers by ditching the free calls, more iOS 16 feedback, and a review of an attractive new Bluetooth keyboard
Kia ora Mosen at Largers. Here’s what’s coming up in our next two-hour show that’s got the blind community talking.
There are times when talking with an Aira agent is time sensitive. Independent of each other, some Aira customers have been in touch to say that they’re increasingly frustrated by long wait times for an agent, and that it’s time for the free tier to end. Do you agree?
There are local elections taking place in New Zealand right now, and the right of blind people to a secret ballot is not being respected. I’m determined to get this fixed.
Last week, a listener expressed frustration about the volume of VoiceOver being very low when anything using the PhoneKit API is being used in conjunction with her made for iPhone hearing aids. I have this issue too, and it seems quite a few others do too, so there’s plenty more on this problem this week.
Michael Feir loves his keyboards, and he knows what he’s talking about. He thinks the Nuphy Air75 keyboard is worthy of your consideration and tells us why he likes it so much.
Do you have any advice for keeping straight when you’re crossing a busy street? A listener would be grateful for your pearls of wisdom.
And why a coffee cup might be one of the best accessories for your iPhone.
There’s plenty more on the show as well. If you want to raise something new, you’re very welcome. Please don’t be shy, I’d love to hear from you. What makes Mosen At Large special is the global community we’ve built and all the perspectives we share with each other.
