Coming up on Mosen at Large 202, a comprehensive review and demonstration of the Envision Smart Glasses
Kia ora Mosen at Largers. Here’s what’s coming up in our next two-hour show that’s got the blind community talking.
Each time we’ve discussed the Envision Smart Glasses on Mosen at Large, there has always been considerable interest. That interest has increased markedly since Aira and Envision made their announcement some months ago that the visual interpreter service was coming to the Envision smart glasses platform. The Envision Smart Glasses are a premium product set an a premium price point for any user, but that’s especially the case for blind people who are far too often unemployed or in lower paying jobs. So just what can the Envision smart glasses do for you, and how well do they do it? Who are they for? If you’re highly proficient with the camera on your smartphone, are they worth it? If you struggle to get good pictures from your smartphone’s camera, could these glasses be the answer?
In a review and demonstration that runs two hours and 10 minutes, I’ll answer those questions. We’ll look at all the features currently on offer, read some mail, identify some shopping, call an ally, discuss the Aira integration, take the glasses for a drive and give you a full appreciation of the user interface.
See you this weekend for Mosen at Large, available everywhere you find podcasts, as we get up close and personal with the Envision Smart Glasses.
