Coming up on Mosen at Large 186, An ARM for your JAWS, gadgets for travel, and a sensational update to Leasey

Kia ora Mosen at Largers. Our amazing community has put together another informative, thought-provoking listen for you, and it’ll be in your podcast app this weekend. Here’s a sneak peak of what you can expect.

It’s know fun to find a Windows laptop with mouth-watering battery life, epic specs, 5G built-in, and lightning-fast resume from standby, only to find that it’s running an ARM processor, so JAWS won’t work with it. There are an increasing number of great Windows 11 laptops out there running ARM. Freedom Scientific is responding and has released a test version of JAWS for Windows 11 64-bit ARM. I’ll discuss the benefits and how to get the software if you have a compatible system.

Screen reader efficiency is a passion of mine. Every little productivity hack adds up to getting more done with less hassle. The Leasey Advanced package from Hartgen Consultancy is a Swiss army knife of productivity boosts that installs as an enhancement to JAWS. It’s one of those tools where once you’ve tried it, you won’t want to give it up and go back to a less efficient experience. We talked about leasey not so long ago so we normally wouldn’t do so again quite so quickly. But version 7 of Leasey is about to be released, and it has some killer features that will improve your computing experience immeasurably. Brian Hartgen from Hartgen Consultancy joins me to outline just some of them.

There’s plenty more on the show as well. If you want to raise something new, you’re very welcome. Please don’t be shy, I’d love to hear from you. What makes Mosen At Large special is the global community we’ve built and all the perspectives we share with each other.
