Coming up on Mosen at Large 203, iPhone and iOS feedback, listener comments on the Envision glasses, more on Aira’s free calls

Kia ora Mosen at Largers. Here’s what’s coming up in our next two-hour show that’s got the blind community talking.

I am now speaking to you from the dynamic island, surrounded by beautiful sparkling water. Although that water was horribly murky for a while. My iPhone 14 Pro max finally made it to Mosen Towers a couple of weeks ago. I’m enjoying the upgrade immensely, but things got off to a very rocky start.

Since the subject of VoiceOver being extremely quiet on calls for some iPhone users came up on the show, I’ve been investigating this issue thoroughly and I believe I now understand the cause well. I’ll explain the bug and a funky, temporary way to work around it.

Thanks for all the positive feedback on the Envision Smart Glasses special. There are plenty of listener comments on the subject this week.

A couple of weeks ago, we heard from frustrated paying Aira users who are concerned that Aira’s free five minute calls are clogging up the system. This week, we get the alternative perspective from those who gain enormous value from the service but can’t afford it.

We give you an audio demo of new iPhone Braille Screen Input features recently, and look ahead to the shiny new mix of the Beatles Revolver album.

There’s plenty more on the show as well. If you want to raise something new, you’re very welcome. Please don’t be shy, I’d love to hear from you. What makes Mosen At Large special is the global community we’ve built and all the perspectives we share with each other.
