Coming up on Mosen at Large 219, first-hand accounts of the Sense Player and Stream, AI makes its presence felt in the blind community, and Braille display recommendations

Kia ora Mosen at Largers. Here’s what’s coming up in our next two-hour show that’s got the blind community talking.

AI is coming to our community, ready or not. And by that, I mean that some people say we’re not ready, others say the AI isn’t. We’ll take a look at two significant uses of the new Chat GPT 4 technology that promise to make our lives easier.

There’s a lot of talk about the Optima Braille laptop, announced this week at CSUN. I’ll discuss what we know about the device. In the episode after this one, we do expect to feature an in-depth discussion with the creator of the Optima.

We hear from a few Sense Player users who already have their devices. So how good are they? And there’s a recording direct from a third-generation Victor Reader Stream.

After a very long time, there’s an update to the Castro podcast player for iOS, but it’s not good news from an accessibility perspective.

Last week, a listener asked for Braille display recommendations, and this week, you’ll hear some. Cool eh?
There’s plenty more on the show as well. If you want to raise something new, you’re very welcome. Please don’t be shy, I’d love to hear from you. What makes Mosen At Large special is the global community we’ve built and all the perspectives we share with each other.
